International Postgraduate Programs

Master Program in Business Management (International)

The program is delivered over two years of full-time study. This time limit is counted from when the students enter the graduate program regardless of any leave of absence taken. The program provides core knowledge of business management and specialist electives and the opportunity to undertake a dissertation.

Full-time students are normally expected to register minimum 12 credits per semester. It is important to plan carefully to make sure that you schedule all of your required core courses. For the Master Degree in Business Management, applicants must fulfil at least 34 credits according to the following requirements. The passing score for all courses should be 70 (at 100 percent system).

Program Structure

wFoundation Courses

All students must complete the following four foundation courses, 18 credits in total.

  • Chinese Culture and National Conditions (3 credits)
  • Chinese (Three semesters, 9 credits)
  • Intermediate Microeconomics (3 credits)
  • Management Research Methodology (3 credits)

wCore Courses

All students must complete the following 5 core courses, 10 credits in total.

  • Strategic Management (2 credits)
  • Human Resource Management (2 credits)
  • Marketing (2 credits)
  • Management(2 credits)
  • Organizational Behavior(2 credits)

wSelective Courses

Each student must select at least three courses from the following.

  • Financial Management (2 credits)
  • Consumer Behaviour (2 credits)
  • Operation Management (2 credits)
  • Marketing Econometrics (2 credits)
  • Finance(2 credits)

  1. Dissertation Final Project

 

  • The thesis should represent the students’ personal work under the supervision of the advisor and the advisory group, and be written in English clearly and concisely. The dissertation should have corresponding Chinese title and abstract.
  • The advisor will be arranged for each graduate student at the end of second semester and supervise the students with thesis.
  • The graduate students must gain at least 34 credits before thesis defense.
