About the BSc Marketing program

As an integral part and core function of any business, marketing plays a critical role in the success of an organization. Rather than just advertising and selling products and services, marketing can be seen as a process of creating value for customers and building good customer relationships. Thus, this course covers all the key areas of marketing management, including marketing communications, channel selection, pricing and customer relationship management where theory and practice are combined to deliver a thorough grounding in the field of modern management and will provide you with the opportunity to specialize in marketing.

Program Structure

In the first three years, a range of foundation courses provide students with an understanding of the role of the core business and marketing disciplines: accounting, finance, operations and information management, human resource management, and marketing, and a third year core course provides a viewpoint on marketing research and brand management. Alongside these courses, disciplinary courses provide training in economics and organizational behavior, and in both quantitative and qualitative research methods, so that students leave the program with a good understanding of the basis of social science claims to knowledge. The Department also offers options in subjects such as decision science, economics, employment relations, finance, information systems, marketing, leadership, management science, marketing, organizational behavior and strategy. Students will also have the opportunity to take courses in other related departments within the College.
